The positions available under this recruitment are:

  • Assistant (General Central Service, Group “B,” Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial): 34 Vacancies
  • Leading Hand Fireman (General Central Service, Group “C,” Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial): 14 Vacancies

Total: 48 Vacancies

Age Limit

  • The maximum age limit for both positions is 56 years.

Salary Structure

Selected candidates will receive the following pay scale:

  • Assistant:
    Pay Band-2: ₹9,300 to ₹34,800 + Grade Pay ₹4,200 (Revised Pay Level 6)
  • Leading Hand Fireman:
    Pay Band-1: ₹5,200 to ₹20,200 + Grade Pay ₹2,000 (Revised Pay Level 3)

Eligibility Criteria

For Assistant

  • Educational Qualification: A degree from a recognized university.
  • Experience:
    • Holding an analogous post on a regular basis in the parent cadre or department.
    • Six years of regular service in Pay Band-1 (₹5,200 to ₹20,200) with Grade Pay ₹2,800 (Level-5).
    • Ten years of regular service in Pay Band-1 (₹5,200 to ₹20,200) with Grade Pay ₹2,400 (Level-4).

For Leading Hand Fireman

  • Educational Qualification: Matriculation (10th pass) from a recognized board or equivalent.
  • Experience:
    • At least one year of experience using minor and major fire-fighting equipment.
    • Maintaining records at a fire station.
    • Ability to manage shifts, train and direct fire crews, and carry out fire-fighting operations.
    • Physical fitness for demanding tasks.

Desirable:

  • Prior experience in civil or defense fire brigades.
  • Proficiency in maintaining and operating fire-fighting appliances.

Tenure

  • Assistant: Initial deputation period of two years.
  • Leading Hand Fireman: Initial deputation period of one year.
  • Deputation tenure in total should not exceed three years.

  • New Delhi, Chennai, Visakhapatnam, Mumbai, Kochi, Port Blair, Gandhinagar, Porbandar, Kolkata, and Paradip.

Leading Hand Fireman

  • Tuticorin.
