Sports Disciplines For INDIAN NAVY

Male Candidates Eligible Disciplines:

• Athletics
• Aquatics
• Athletic Gymnastics
• Weightlifting
• Wrestling
• Fencing
• Kayaking and Canoeing
• Rowing
• Shooting

Note for Specific Disciplines:

1. Shooting: Only the top 50 athletes in Olympic events as per the state national ranking are eligible to apply.
2. Sailing: Only medalists at International Senior Nationals in the iLCAT, TLCAS, A9er, and 49er (FX) models of boats are eligible to apply.

Eligibility Conditions For INDIAN NAVY

Educational Qualifications:

• 10+2 qualified in any stream or equivalent examination.

Sports Proficiency:

Direct Entry Petty Officer (Sports Entry):

1. Individual Event:
   • Should be a medalist at the junior or senior level by representing the state in national events or representing the country at the international level.
2. Team Event:
   • Should have represented the state or country in national or international competitions at the junior or senior level.
3. Khelo India Games and Youth Games:
   • Should be a medalist in these games.
4. Certification:
   • Certificates from respective sports authorities (federations) should accompany the recommendations of the candidates for final selections.

Direct Entry Chief Petty Officer (Sports Entry):

1. World Championship/Asian Championship:
   • Winner of any medal.
2. Asian Games:
   • Winner of any medal.
3. Commonwealth Games/World Cup:
   • Winner of any medal.
4. Representation:
   • Represented India twice in the Asian Games, Commonwealth Games, and World Cup.
   • Represented India in the Olympics.

Age Criteria:

• 17 to 25 years as of the date of commencement of the course.
• Candidates should have been born between 01 Nov 1999 to 30 Apr 2007 (both dates inclusive).
