3. Educational Qualifications:

   • Minimum of 55% in LLB (3-year professional course or 5-year integrated course).

Service Terms

• Tenure: Initially 10 years, extendable up to 14 years based on eligibility. Permanent Commission is possible after 10 years, subject to selection.
• Training: 49 weeks at Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai.

Training and Cost

1. Duration: 49 weeks at OTA, Chennai.
2. Expenses: Government-funded training. Withdrawal costs ₹17,561 per week (subject to policy).
3. Diploma: Graduates receive a “Post Graduate Diploma in Defence Management and Strategic Studies” from the University of Madras.

Salary and Promotion Structure

Additional perks include Dearness Allowance, Military Service Pay (₹15,500), field allowances, and specialized allowances based on posting location and assignments.
